I think the officials had a horrible game, but fortunately, the Patriots persevered. Good to see Dillon have a good game, and Brady was fantastic -- 22 of 27 for 350 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT. If not for that lucky INT, Brady would have had a QB rating of 158. You simply have to be insane to pick against the guy after a loss (like I did today). Schaub had a great game for Atlanta. The Falcons were probably better off having him in there for this game. 28 points is a lot, but the defense played pretty well, in spite of being victimized by the officials. More later.
A solid game for the Pats I thought. Penalties once again are the biggest problem. Hopefully they can get them under control but no complaints about a win.
Good to see Dillon getting his 1st 100 yard game. Brady looked great and the tight ends were a huge part of the game which was also great to see.
Another thing that should not be overlooked is the awesome job the defense did, especially missing so many 'key' players, this week losing Seymour. The defensive backfield seems to be coming together and seemed much less confused back there. No INTs but they deflected several passes that could have gone for long yardage.
Nice to get this win.
GO PATS
Well, there's still two big hurdles before they can think of "coasting." First up is next Sunday at Denver. And then they have Indy in Foxboro a few weeks later. Both games will depend heavily on the D backs, and today showed some glimmers of hope. This is the time to thank the football gods that Belichick is your coach, because if anyone can prepare a team of ragtags, it's him.
