General NFL open thread

If there's anything you want to talk about from around the NFL this week, let's hear it.

Note the two other stories about the Lions firing Steve Mariucci and about Michael Irvin (that one's coming a little later today). Post comments to those stories there. Anything else goes here.

You can comment about whether the Colts have a chance to finish undefeated and what "allowed" that to happen. You can comment about Michael Vick and how when he plays like a quarterback he loses. Whatever. As the Black Knight said, "Have at you!"

I agree completely with your article on the Lions. Mariucci did not deserve to lose his job and Millon should have been fi.red instead. Only one thing I would have added was about his overwhelming support of Joey Harrington. My article on it www.rizzosopinions.blogspot.com

scsatr,
Well, at least we can stop hearing about the great Steelers. What a bunch of frauds they're turning out to be. All they lost was Plaxico Burress. As far as the Colts, you're right. The Patriots had to win two Super Bowls and 21 games in a row, and people were still questioning whether they were one of the greats. I bet there are a few idiots are there questioning it now. All to which I have one thing to say: "Cut that meat! Cut that meat!"

Oh, yeah. Thanks for reminding me. The Colts have virtually no injuries, and the teams most likely to cause Indy some of those injuries are loaded with injuries themselves. Just so happened to work out perfectly the way the scheduled was designed. Nice and coincidental. Hey, the with all the help the league has been giving the Giants, we might have a Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl. You think the NFL front office hasn't thought about that? There's a better chance that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
